The Luxurious Designs Show

The show of ¡°Artistic Luxury: Faberg¨¦, Tiffany, Lalique,¡± a show of 320 pieces of jewelry and works of art that opened at the Cleveland Museum of Art. The visitors can get close to the world great masterpieces of the famous designers.
On the show, Tiffany & Co showed many famous collections. The cases there display Louis Comfort Tiffany¡¯s golden Favrile glass vases, Ren¨¦ Lalique¡¯s necklace of orange cast-glass poppies and a Tiffany dragonfly pin covered in garnets of varying shades of green. A Tiffany iris corsage covered with 139 sapphires, diamonds and other gems, as well as a Lalique enamel and sapphire pansy brooch.
The show, also assembled from more than 50 international lenders, many of them private, includes five imperial Easter eggs that Peter Carl Faberg¨¦ designed for the Russian czars and a magnolia window by Tiffany from a Russian collection.
But the surprise are the many modern-looking creations: a Tiffany globe table lamp that resembles the lacy dome of the Secessionists¡¯ pavilion that Josef Maria Olbrich designed in Vienna in 1897; Lalique necklaces incorporating geometric pieces of glass, in repeating patterns of abstracted insects; and Faberg¨¦¡¯s plinth-like desk clock in lapis lazuli that looks totally Deco.
